Purchasing

The Purchasing office is responsible for the purchase of goods and services for all Town departments. Subject to the requirements of the Town Ordinances and R.I. General Laws, items are acquired by public solicitations and awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

All vendor payments originate from the department that purchased the item or contracted for the service. Your first contact should always be to that department.

Notices of public bid items are posted at this Office, and in the local newspapers under Legal Notice.
